Enjoy the Outdoor this summer in a camping trailer

A camping trailer is the best way to enjoy the great outdoors yet have the comforts of home at you finger tips. If you are like me and want to get in touch with nature but at the same time have a nice warm shower at the end of the day or a good night’s sleep in secure surroundings then think no further – a camping trailer is what you need.

A Brief History

In the USA, the camping trailer dates back to 1920’s when campers were called the ‘tin can tourists’. These trailers gained popularity over time and in 1960 the two distinct types came to life – the RV (or recreational vehicle) and the mobile home trailer.

There are many types of touring/camping trailers in many sizes and price ranges and while some offer just the bare necessities, others boast of unimaginable luxuries. Many singers tour the country in some of these highly modernized trailers which are almost a luxury home on wheels.

A Typical Camping Trailer has the following Amenities:

* Gas/electric powered refrigerator

* Gas/electric powered cooking stove, oven, grill and microwave

* Gas/electric powered water heater

* One or more beds depending on the size of the trailer

* Electricity supplied by battery or external hookup

* Toilet with disposal tank and flush water tank

* Shower with hot and cold running water – some even come with bath tubs

* Radio

* TV with aerial satellite dish

* Air conditioning

* External barbeque points – not all have this option

* Washer and dryer – not all have this option

Camping in a camping trailer gives a whole new meaning to the camping world. You are going to be addicted to its amenities and may want to enjoy the great outdoors more often then you ever thought possible.

In a camping trailer you can enjoy the comfort of a shower, a cooked meal, a proper night’s sleep or even catch some news on TV while still being in the wilderness. Many argue that what is the point of being outdoors if you get into the comfort of the trailer at night, but I believe that you do not have to live in the wild in order to enjoy the wilderness and beauty of Mother Nature.
A camping trailer is a blessing not only because it offers comfort but also, in the long run you are likely to do less damage to the environment while using a trailer versus a camping tent.
